Mitchell Thomson, of referencing firm UKtenantdata, has written an article on what he believes the effects have been in the lettings industry in Scotland, after the Scottish Government’s ban on letting agent fees. He says jobs have been lost, rents have risen, agents have gone out of business, as have providers such as inventory firms. He also claims that agents in Scotland believe the government has no understanding of the sector and seem determined to destroy it. (Read full article)
